- It could be much better. The optimal would be a compendium ~50-100 pages with information. In particular I would have liked a red line through the education and more structure.» (Small extent)
- Not at all. It is very difficult to read his hand writing. His lecture note are kind of his rough notes before/after the lecture, which is not organized at all. Only the guest Lecturer has organized lecture notes, NOT Zoran K.» (Small extent)

- Zoran seams don"t care about lecture notes. His hand writings are very difficult to read. Not understable at all.» (Very badly)
- Lecture notes were hand-written which were not clear enough to read.» (Very badly)
- Good communication but way too much e-mails. Do only send the impotant info by mail. PLace the rest as news on the website.» (Rather badly)
- There was some confusion in the beginning. But it as ok after that.» (Rather badly)
- Although the communication through emails was great and very helpful, but at the end we did not have all the lecture notes on the course webpage, so if somebody lost the track of emails he may miss some information.» (Rather well)

- This course should be removed. It has three teacher and they talk about three different things and none of these lecture has relation to the other one.» (Poor)
- I do not know why this is compulsory course for MPMIC.» (Fair)
- I think people could learn more if the education was more clear and especially the literature. I don"t believe in a 800 pages book, but some summary with references would be nice (giving out papers is not as effective I believe, since it takes a huge amount of time to go through).» (Adequate)

- Maybe have a larger variation of the projects. A lot of the papers very focused on molecular logical gates.»
- Maybe make the projects a 2-student thing? Some kind of literature, as mentioned earlier.»
- Zoran and his teaching method and exam system. He things he knows much and make student fail in the ORAL exam.»
- Instead of handwritten lecture notes, could be nicer to get notes written in a word processor. Sometimes handwritten notes prove to be unreadable and confusing.»
- Less e-mails. Clearer goals. Less basic discussions on the lectures.»
- It will be better if the lecture notes are typed and uploaded to student protal.»
- The level and field of Aldo"s lecture was a little too different from the rest of the course, it could be more easier or too spend more time on them. »

16. Additional comments

- I think it"s good to have powerpoint presentations in conjunction with using board. Using power point the student have the chance to have higher quality graphical understanding of the subject. and one can teach more in shorter time. I"d like to have more subjects introduced in the course (especially bionano stuffs!)»

- The exam system has to be changed. If you want to keep this course for the next year, then this whole course should follow by a Project work. NO WRITTEN OR ORAL EXAM.»
- Why dont" you put general knowledg about the human cell and such in presqurities?»
- I expected to have more specific questions about different major topics of the lectures, specially those by guest lecturers. For me the teaching style of the guest lecturers was so much different than that of Zoran which was kind of confusing when I think about what they expected us to know for the exam, and the final goals for these lectures was too general that covered almost everything and yet I didn"t know how deep I should know about the topic. I should also say that Aldo"s lecture notes was very good and self explanatory that one can understand everything from it. »

- It is a really good course where you can learn techniques of computation for biological processes.»
- The course had a very good approach to get the people familiarized with the biophysics world and then continuing to the bio information processing. »

18. What did you dislike most in this course?

- Some lectures are too focused on the outline of the course rather than the topic at hand.»
- The handout quality was low. I mean hand written, a bit hard to read sometimes.»
- The structure of the education, I didn"t see the larger picture and also then some literature (which is not real papers, rather a summary as mentioned earlier).»
- Zoran and his teaching and exam system.»
- All e-mails.»
- Date of oral exam is too late.»
- Sometimes we took a lot of time to set dates. It was important, but the democratic procedure should not be applied in this kind of things.»

19. What is your impression about the projects?

- combine students in projects instead of giving separately.»

- The project level was the same as the course. there were good.»
- Good, it worked well. Reviews are good for learning a larger picture.»
- Not ok. The project should be experimental, not just read a Si-paper and make a some comments. »
- Interesting. I would prefere to discuss them more maybe. but it can be difficult. If one could find relevant papers for the different subjects in the course it would be really good to have a parer presentation every week discussing that subject. My experiece is that such discussions give much insight and knowledge.»
- Good, it helped me to understand more clearly. One problem was that some papers were easy to understand, but some were not, that will be unfair to the person who chose the harder one. »

- They idea of projects was very good and the topics was relevant. The comments and helps on report was very good. I really liked doing this project.»
- They were good. But i think the ones who got review papers, it was a bit tough.»
- i didnt get much of several projects, i dont really know why, to some extent it must be a lack of concentration in that occasion. But I think it was good way to learn, and it"s good to have no grade on it.»

- Maybe a little much time is invested in planning and student democracy, but on the other hand it is noble. Thanks for the course Zoran!» (just fine)

- The day after my other exam. But thats life and I don"t see this as a major issue.» (set too late)
