- I stopped attending the exercises after a while because I think it wasn"t really useful to do them in full class, and because the correction didn"t differ from the one on the portal. So I found better to practice on my own. » (75%)
- both the two parts(lecture and exercise) are well prepared.» (100%)

- Didn"t learne more about the practical use of FE-analysis then what Ive learned from he FEM courses.» (Small extent)
(Some extent)

- In the end, the book was not as useful as I had thought it would be...» (Small extent)
- I am very disappointed that the Mr. Kliger first speak well about a book that costs almost 900 SEK, and then when the book is bought says that he does not agree whit the content of the book, and it"s hardly ever used in the course.» (Small extent)
- First we were told that the book is very useful. But I did not understand why we had to get it. I hardly used it, and since it was expensive I was not very pleased with that.» (Small extent)
- EC were very useful, but I did not use the course book very much.» (Large extent)

Genomsnitt: 3.39

(Rather badly)

- I wanted to go slower to take the time to understand, and he wanted only do the task as quick as possible and that"s all (without understand)... really strange» (Rather poorly)
- pretty bad in the FEM assignment (too many as I said before) but OK in the other tasks» (Rather well)

Summarizing questions

25. What is your general impression of the course?

23 svarande

Poor»0 0%
Fair»0 0%
Adequate»5 21%
Good»14 60%
Excellent»4 17%

Genomsnitt: 3.95

- We learned a lot, but we had to spend a lot of time.» (Excellent)

26. What is the remaining value of the course in the future

23 svarande

Very small»0 0%
Rather small»0 0%
Rahter high»16 69%
Very high»7 30%

Genomsnitt: 3.3

- especially all the work with ULS and SLS.» (Rahter high)

27. What should definitely be preserved to next year?

- Project work»
- The design task»
- The design task, the memo and the description of the tasks could be much clearer though.»
- The tasks. »
- Design-uppgiften var mycket givande och borde absolut vara kvar, om än med tydligare pm. Även FEM-projektet borde kvarstå, men med några ändringar.»
- exersices and project»
- The design task.»
- The Design task. But maybe somewhat smaller.. The calculation exercises»
- Design Task»
- - Well , the project work was very detailed and took so long time to finish - Spend more time on the practical problems -Taking more considerations when correcting the final exam results .i.e. the task solution is more than a right numbers . »
- Both project works. FEM-project and design task.»

28. What should definitely be changed to next year?

- Better descriptions of the design task, better explinations of certain load and design arrangements..»
- Crocetti´,s lectures were very long. It would be very nice with more breaks in order to still be awake on the lectures. »
- We found really a lot of mistakes in the solutions of exercises on the portal. This makes it very confusing to learn for the exam as it is the only examples we have about one notion sometimes.»
- The lectures could be performed better by the teachers, the lecture notes/powerpoint-slides could be improved.»
- The explanations of the tasks and pretty much every assignment. They are not that well written (no offense) which creates a lot of misunderstandings.»
- Till exempel ändra gruppstorlekarna i FEM-projektet till 2 studenter och använd ytterligare en datorsal vid genomgångar för att ge alla möjligheten att lära sig hur Abaqus fungerar och hänga med på vad som analyseras i programmet.»
- nothing»
- See question 19.»
- The English used in writing was rather poor. Example from exam: "Deference" when meaning "difference". Consistently throughout the Rehearsal Questions and Design Task: Non-clear sentences, non-finished sentences. The scoring in the exam: Reducing 0.5 points without any mark what so ever in the solution indicating where the error or mistake is. Also reducing 0.5 points for the theoretical questions is a bit to much of a reduction, when most of the question is answered properly. »
- Make the project work less detailed ,the final exam should be corrected with more flexibility taking into account the way of understanding for the student and not the way he dealed with numbers .»
- Make the course without a book. »

29. Additional comments

- Some instructions in the design task could be more specific.»
- But its still a quite educational course and im glad i"ve taken it.»
- Some of the lecturers needs to learn how to follow the scheduled times. It"s no point to speak for 70-80 min when the students loose their concentration after 45 min.»
