- The reference book is really good and help a lot to completely understand many topics. Also the extracts from other books that were given to the students.» (Large extent)
- 1- Please write the lecture notes with the computer, not with hand (as in the Protection and transient stability). 2- Please provide explanation needed for the Voltage stability under each curve, So we can easily understand what you want to say and don"t assume that we are going to understand every thing verbally and We are going to keep it in our mind tell the exams. - Please review the solutions made by Ibram which are posted on the Web as they have a lot of mistakes. - I didn"t understand anything form Ibram and the Slides were very bad in that area with no Explanation for the graphs. » (Large extent)

10. To what extent has the practical laboratory experiment been of help for your learning?

- eventough I have no problem of understanding the transient stability it have given me a practical knowledge of synchronisation snd simulating faults in system »

- Lab didn"t demonstrate anything. For, the idea had beed to really verify that if we are above the critical time machine losses synchronism. However in the lab it could been verified because of excesive damping. It is not logic, since it is expected that under any disturbance the machine will oscillate, but what makes different if we choose the critical time? I don"t know the reason why it coudn"t be done. If it is not possible to let the machine run out of step there should be an indicator that it really has lost synchronism.»

- The case to analyze was good. The project could be even better but the problem is that the topic that it involves, is teached around the fourth/fifth week, a little bit late in order to make something bigger and more valuable.» (Large extent)

- I consider that the problem is that there are too many topics to cover in this course. That is why the lecturer has to "run" to cover each topic. I consider that the course should be split in two in such a way that all the topics can be covered in detail. Reactive power control can be taught in PSO and there should be a course of just Power system stability, that covers in detail some topics that are missing, like small-signal stability, machine modeling, etc. » (Adequate)
- The topics are to many and this meant that just a brief overview of all of them was given which I didn"t like considering the high relevance of the teached topics in the Power Sytems area. The course should be splitted into 2 or even 3 courses where Stability should be taken by itself. It could be also the case for Electrical Systems Protection.» (Adequate)

- the tutorial material on the webpage much sooner. The lecture material on the webpage much sooner. What to do in the project should be decided before it starts not after.»

- sometimes the tone of voice of the lecture teacher can be very flat. try making the lectures more dynamic by involving the students»
- I think it would be interesting to have a course about protections (power system protections, electric motor protections, transformer protections, etc..)»

- Too many questions are asked during the classes,i think ,the tutor and lecturer should control the time.It cost us a lot of time waiting for someone to ask the simple question.Maybe they can ask after class without wasting our time.»
- I think more text handouts should be added because some handouts were not clear when I wanted to review them.»

- As mentioned before, this course treats so many topics that just a breif overview is seen. It should be splitted into 2 or 3, since the topics involved are more than interesting and important in the Power Systems area.»
