- It could be good to have 5 hours for the exam since the theory demands some time and the calculations are always timeconsuming if you don"t see the solution right away. Stress shall not determine the grade!» (Yes, definitely)

- Hard to follow the book. Would be better to have a general text book which goes deeper into the theory.» (some extent)

- In some lectures, the classic power point abuse appeared, too many slides with too much information. In the "old days" when the blackboard and overhead were used, the lectures were more focusing on the most important parts.» (some extent)

- Det var dock väldigt svårt att få tag på någon lärare eller övningsledare sista dagarna innan tentan, då man äntligen satt sig in i kursen ordentligt och hade frågor vars svar inte gick att finna i boken. Till nästa år kanske ni kan informera om vem som ska vara på plats vilken tid (kanske ha någon speciell konsultationstid de sista dagarna) så att man slipper springa till E-huset flera gånger om dagen utan att hitta någon att fråga.» (Rather good)

- The course focused on computations in the assignments and then the exam was focused on theory. Not understanding the theory but memorizing the whole book. Doing the assignments did nothing too make you ready for the exam. You would gain more by copying the assignments and focusing on memorizing the book to pass this course. » (Poor)
- Interesting topics are brought up. The first day we saw some demonstrations which was very interesting. The exam contains a lot of theory questions and therefore I think it would be good if the assignments contained more theory questions. Maybe it is possible to replace one assignment with some laboratory work where the students made a lab and than performed calculations on the lab results. » (Excellent)

32. What improvements can be made to next year?

- Questions of the type of Question 1 in the Exam, should be part of an exercise during the course.»
- Assignment 6 could start earlier»
- Giving some credit for the assignments and correcting them better. It is also waste handing to us the assumptions that are made in the theory because then students do not learn the theory behind it. The students should be able to see if the assumptions should be made, and then do it them selves. »

- Some errors in the book has to be corrected.»
- It"s too much to have 5 small assignments, 1 big assignment with additional extra task and the exam. Skip one of the assignments or the extra task, by so more time can be set off to study for the exam. The exam is very detailed and needs a lot of study time so it would have been good to end all the assignments (with the presentation) maybe 1 and 1/2 or 2 weeks before the exam. (Not 1 week as was the case this year).»

- The small assignments are very good. Good focus on what"s important. The lectures from Lars Strömberg are good fun (even though some of us had heard them a couple of times before).»
