- no info on the webpage about what aids were allowed on the exam this year. very bad lecture slides with "what" -boxes that left out all important info» (Very badly)
- the java code didn"t work unless you acctually worked at a school computer, and there were no help to get to fix this problem.» (Rather badly)

- That many different parts are covered in the course, everything from design to use of databases. I really liked the very clearly written lecture notes, the exercises which you have written yourself for the excercise classes, and definitly the assignment.»

17. What should definitely be changed to next year?

- The exam need to have more basic questions and not only questions that are really tricky.»
- Oracle is crap if you ask me. The command line tool, sqlplus, is virtualy unusable. Use MySQL, I would say that it is more common and much more user friendly.»
- More focus on the last part of the course (XML etc.) in the tutorials. This part is not covered by the lab assignment and is only mentioned on the lat tutorial, but its a large part of the exam»
- great course. maybe more resources and more occations with questions and exercises.»

- Take it slow with the slides! Don"t have time to consider what it says. More examples also! Those who we saw were often very simplified.»
- (Some of) The data that should be in the lab assignment should be given, so that more time can go to learning the syntax and other more advanced things. Too much time went to filling the database with information.»
- Maybe change database from oracle to mysql, or at least solve so one can work from other computers then the ones at school.»

- ingegration with the book, ehm. The study plan should follow the books" chapters, so we don"t have to jump to differnet chapters all the time.»
- Oracle SQL seems to me as a limited language. Everything gets a little trickier, especially since the lectures were in standard SQL. It would be better to use that SQL version instead of oracle in the assignments. Answers to all exercises in the new book version would be great. A shorter exam or longer time for exam. It is so easy to make misstakes when the time is too short and there is no time to correct those misstakes. »
- Answers to exercises!!! It gives nothing to do them without having answers»
- The web based interface of Oracle was very poor. It would have been nice if it even had the simplest functions like "delete all" added, and it should definitely have better overview, i.e. graphic representations of the contents of the database.»
- The coursebook were not very good and should be replaced.»
- Course litterature. I had no use whatsoever of the course book, didn"t even buy it, but managed just fine anyways.»
- The information regarding what excercises to do could bebetter. And soulutions to the excercises in the book should be available!»
- The focus on relation diagrams without any reasonable tool for drawing them. ( and no i don"t consider DIA reasonable ). Then again, I have quite alot of experience in designing databases and have little problem in getting it right from the start. »

- one of the worst courses i have read, really bad communication between the examinator and the students. If you were"nt able to attend a lecture, you missed out on all important info regarding the administration of the course. This because the examinator refused to put info on the course homepage. very bad lecture slides, if you tried to read them by yourself. first weeks they only consisted of questions, and then "what" - boxes, so you never got the answer. mailed the examinator about it, but he did not want to change the concept.»
