- The whole course felt unprepared. Too much was not done before course start. I would not recommend this course.» (Very badly)
- Probably the worst administration ever! The schedule was not available until week 2 and then all info has been very late. For example, we got a mail today, thursday, with a template for the final report, that was due yesterday for reviewing!!! Students have other things to do besides school too, and cannot be assumed to be able to change plan with just a few days notice! Also, the course was away and didn"t answer to mail just some week before the course should start. That is not acceptable either.» (Very badly)
- This course is the last course at Chalmers and it was probably one, if not the worst, of them all when it comes to the administration. An example is that the project report template came out when about every group was finished with their respective report. Thoose who wanted access to the XP labb and were told they would get it if they had attended the "kandidatarbete" course, they could get it automatically. (I never got it and neither did half of my mates). When we mailed the examinor it took forever to get an answer. When we asked for help with course administration it took forever.» (Very badly)

- I think we had to little knowledge to solve the task. We gained knowledge during the time but it would be good if more "real" automation was included in previous courses. Too much time were spent on writing reports and solving administrative tasks that should be solved before the start of the project.» (Fair)
- Projects courses are good and different from the normal exam courses. You learn to cooperate and work "for real". But as I said - administration was disastrous!» (Good)

15. What should definitely be changed to next year?

- Administrative part. Dates need to be set. Special workshop hours is needed. More information concerning how to order, what should be documented, who will grade. Feedback from both Anneli and supervisor for planning report was not too good, since they differed alot (one said "write", one said "take away"). »
- Better planned projects. It would have been fun to programm a small production line.»

- Kursen borde ha varit bättre organiserad. Vi behövde jobba i XP-verkstaden men fick inte tillräckligt lång tid för att jobba där och konsultera saker med verkstadens personal som var hjälpsam men hade varken tid eller plats för oss i verkstaden. Konsekvenserna av detta är ett misslyckande med vårt projekt.»

- Ändå tycker jag kursen var bra men kan bli mycket bättre nästa år. Mycket beror på handledarna och planeringen innan kursen börjar.»
- Should be better to keep the old Mechatronics project as last year. That had been fun.»
- The course administration was very bad. See above comments. One thing that was VERY bad was that the different responsible professors/Phds for all the projects didn"t have the same vision as the examinor. The examinor said, when asked, that the focus should be on the project report, status report, project plant whilst the professors etc helping us had a vision that the construction/design/math was important. It is very bad when not everyone involved in the course have the same clear vision... I and most of my friends were very disappointed with the course. We were hoping the course would put more focus on what we had learned, and not on writing report after report. There is MUCH to change till next year.»
