- Why couldn"t we just send our lab reports by mail, and get the result by mail, instead of printing them? Also, some files wasn"t possible to download from the course page which was frustrating.» (Rather badly)
- Administration did not work that well for me. I never received any information about when the course would start and after several calls i got the news that the course was canceled. Luckily i decided to call one more time and got to know that the course would be held and i got the wrong info the first time. The webpage was ok but there was often problem to reach documents which was supposed to be uploaded. I also did not manage to find the syllabus. I never received information that one has to register for exams at Chalmers so at exam day i and many other students who don"t have a Chalmers background got their exam 15 min after the exam should have started. » (Rather badly)
- I would answer very well, but there was some problems with the web page. The instructions for the lab reports where sometimes absent or held errorous information. The information was badly structured, and there where several different mail-adresses for the same person.» (Rather well)

Summarizing questions

13. What is your general impression of the course?

16 svarande

Poor»1 6%
Fair»2 12%
Adequate»9 56%
Good»3 18%
Excellent»1 6%

Genomsnitt: 3.06

- I had to take the course. » (Adequate)
- I liked the course, i think it gave a good insight to what HCI is about. The organization around the course is what is in the most need of improvement according to me. » (Good)

14. What should definitely be preserved to next year?

- I"m happy with almost everything.»
- the laboratorys, it"s good if they keep evolving them, so they get better and better!»
- The lectures where fun and informative. They where a great help and worked as an insitament to study the other materials of the course. THe guest lecture about game design was really good»
- regular lab assesment»
- The labs are good for getting a practical approach to the subjects.»
- the guest lectures»
- The litterature.»
- The guest lecture about game design was very nice to get another view point towards the subject. The form of the course with labs and lectures was good according to me. »

15. What should definitely be changed to next year?

- Lab PM, They are fussy and impossile to get hold of before the labs.»
- Giving the lab-guidelines. Should be clear from the start instead of presented after the second lab is handed in.»
- the over heads could be a little more detailed. whern i go back sometimes to remember a lecture they give me just a little to few words to really remember what a concept was about.»
- Labs should be placed in course week 2. I had some problemd to get the course book the first days which made it hard to be well prepared for the first laboration.»
- having several available lab section a week, to reduce course overlappings.»
- Be clearer with the how the reports should be written. The template focust mostly on totaly ridiculus things like not to use recycled paper. It should focus on what is to be in the report. There were a few points that the templated said on contents that the lab assistants also talked about on the first lab but when on the second week when they hade corrected the first batch of reports the pretty much changed that and said that we only needed to show that we understood the aims of the lab. That should be said from the start instead. The second thing is that there is no sulutions to old exams, that breaks Chalmers rules for one thing and it is impossible to know to what extent the examanswers shouold be elaborated. If you learn the answers by heart you know the course so there is no reason to not give students old examsolutions.»
- Lab exercises. Answering questions which written on a paper. Is it what students should face with as a HUMAN-COMPUTER interaction lab?»
- the evaluation method, to start it should be evaluated by a project throughout the quarter instead of useless mandatory reports»
- There were too much focus on the lab reports. Make it 3-4 labs instead of 6 and keep the reports, or have 6 labs and remove the reports. And make a working submission system, (maybe use the fire system).»
- Administration and organization. As a student who is taking her first course at Chalmers it was hard to find info about where the course would be held (and in my case also if it would be held) since i didnt receive any letter or email about the course start. Also the fact that i had to register for exams came as a big surprise. Make the course syllabus easier to find!! if it exists.. »

16. Additional comments

- A realy great course.»
- could have been better»
