- I think the course contained too many different parts. I think it had been better if the course concentrated on some parts, i.e. wind power and its interaction with the grid and about hybrid electric vehicles. In the way the course is designed now, i think it was no time for deeper understanding which i think a course in a masters program should give. » (No, the goals are set too high)

- some of the lectures seemed not to be prepared at all, Ola. Maybe it is ok for the swedish students to understand but I thinkt that all slides should be in english» (Some extent)

- The course administration was unfortunately not good. The fact that the course plan was not set when the course started was very bad. In addition, it felt like the content of the examination was not decided before the course started. » (?)
- Handouts in swedish is not acceptable. Handouts handed out too late. » (Very badly)

- I do no think that a lab can be compared with a assignment done on a computer but ... Wind and hydro were nice, but wave is not interesting because we know that wave plans are old fashion and not efficient ... so why do we spend so much time on it ?» (Interesting)

- There are a lot of ways to produce sustainable energy but they are not yet commercialized. That could be interesting to look in to.»

- a very bad planning. No ready course planning at the beginning of the course, changes in course pm and no information about how the exam would be. It was said no calculations but then in the e- mail sent some days before the exam it was information that an apporved calculator could be used... » (Poor)
- Didn"t learn too much new things! As an Electric Power student I"m very disappointed since there was too little impacts on the electric system and like that. » (Poor)
- it is supposed to be a high educated level course ... it is not.» (Poor)

26. What should definitely be changed to next year?

- more lecture on the role of an electrical engineer in sustainable power companies»
- The approach to teaching these topics should be changed. The course was taught like it was aserminar. The calculation details such as determining the head, power station size etc need to be revisited.»
- Simulation project should be shorter or that you start with it in week 4 instead and take away a other assignment. Shorter I think.»
- It would be good if the topics are presented in this order :Wind, Wave, Hydro,Fusion,Hybrid and PV»
- The hybrid assignment takes a lot of time and should be started earlier on in the course.»
- The course does not feels like one course, but different smaller ones. Therefore it is quite messy. Hard to know what to study. I do not think I have learned so much from lectures but most from assignements. I would like to have more power electrical porblems discussed.»
- The course schedule should be ready when the course starts, all information on homepage, all slides in english, clear information in the course pm what the exam will be about. Lack of information on the homepage on studieportalen,there was no information about assignments in wawepower.»

- the photovoltaic part was rather boring and didn"t impart any new knowledge, I really didn"t see the significance of the topic "fusion". There are topic that are definately more relevant and practicable TODAY (eg biogas, CCS, solar-thermal, geo-thermal,...)»

- Hybrid vehcile excercise. It need to be made simpler or could be moved to course assoiated with electric drive.»

- technical issues should be discussed in the course in depth. for example other than talking about what percent of total energy used by the different countries is from wind, it is better to talk about how wind turbine operates in class too much time is lost just talking about distribution, figures around the world on the differnt topics »
- The course need some reorganization to include some tutorials rather than scientific review »
- I know that this is the fist time that the course is given but it feels like the planing of the course has been realy bad. I am sad to say that I would not recomend the course to anyone at advanced level. The oranizing of the course has been realy bad. »
- In the cours pm it was said that someone would come to talk about nuclear now and in the future, he never came... Abram did a great job!!!»
- Since the course is at the electric power department and are for electric power students it should be more focused on actual electric power and impacts on the grid! As the course is now I wouldn"t recommend it a another student.»
- This is quite interesting course. The study/lab goals should focus in current issue in technical perspective of different kind of technologies. The workload should be managed in a proper way. Because there are a lot of assignments, so there should be less workload, especially in hybrid project.»
- It was good course except that excericses were heavy. Maybe it would have been better if it carried some credit as an incentive to students.»
- Too many assignments, it is difficult to know what is important. Decide what you want about fusion before the lecture. A visit in a hydro plan is it possible ??»
