16. Compared with this year"s course, I would prefer to have:

Matrisfråga

- Maybe 2 seminars instead of 3 and not so many students in the groups. I attend the largest group.»
- Well i believe the number of lectures could be increase a bit and if it is possible to find guest lecturers that are as good as the ones we had them maybe 2 more could be good, but from a different industries. the number of seminar is definitely adequate, but the quality is hindered by the number of students during each seminars. I would say that a good number would be 10 students max. of course this causes increase in administration and so on... Group work are good, again 5 might be too many members in some cases (free riders)»

17. I think that the weights given to the different parts in the course assessment should:

Matrisfråga

- the distribution is good. one might argue that the company project could start earlier, but it is not really advisable since basis knowledge in Module and Platform is needed.»
- the work load was bigger for the lit. sem. then the comp. proj»

- I expected deeper hands-on facts how to cunstruct a product with respect to P&M in the beginning of the course. Though I now know that such fact are hard to give.» (Fair)

19. What should definitely be preserved to next year?

- Topic reports and company projects.»
- Literature seminars »
- Company project is a very good idea as one part of this course, we truly gained a lot of experience from this project through communicating with the experts from the industrial.»
- the structure of the whole course can be kept identical, with a particular attention to the group size (for seminar and both projects)»
- deep literature knowledge»
- topic report and literature seminars»
- literature seminer, literature report, company project, everythings are very essential for this courses, »
- Grading of literature seminars, topic reports and guest lectures.»

20. What should definitely be changed to next year?

- Seminar outline. To have seminars is good but in another way.»
- Company project »
- I think the structure is quite well. »
- maybe an individual term-paper to assess student a bit closely, smaller groups (4 or even 3 if possible), smaller groups of student participating in the same seminar. »
- company project could be improved, more contact to companies, clearer task smaller groups (3-4) maybe better control possibilieties, that everybody really works and not only lets himself bring through by the others»
- No. of lectures. Practical examples.»
- it is better to little change the grading ditribution, also i want to include that sending some question before the literature seminer.»
- 2 literature seminars in 1 day, and clearer requirements on the company project and preferably a visit to sites in order to benefit the companies more thru the project.»

21. Additional comments

- there was not enough time to focus on company project very well»
- I think it could be better if everybody have some experience on the relevant field when we are having the literature seminar. Maybe the materials so far I"ve read are somewhat theoretical. So it"s hard to tell the practical solutions for some topics.»
- thanks for the interesting course on platform thinking and modularization... »
- learned a lot»
- Modularization is a crucial part of manufacturing and this course is a good introduction. »
